A tip I have about this place  — 6 months ago

    Worth visiting!

Very very curvy road… and you cannot really get the full effect of the views if you happen to be driving. So either drive it twice switching drivers or take a bus!

Not for the faint of heart though… or remember your motion sickness pills, and if you are scared of heights you might want to sleep through this one.

We purchased an audio guide from a new company called Drive N Hear for the great ocean road recently. It was a brilliant way to see one of the best coast lines in the world. Conde Nast has voted this road in the top 10 great drives of the world and it is easy to see why. The self drive guide gives you an explorer map. throughout the journey it gives information on everything from practical help to shipwreck stories. The 12 apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, London Bridge and London Arch are the best bits, but really we enjoyed the whole trip. Would recommend to anyone.
www.drivenhear.com is the company and we are already planning our next trip.

This was without a doubt one of the most incredible trips of my life to date! You cannot understand the beauty of this coast line until you experience it…

I was there during Australia summer season (hot, hot, hot… and I remember allot of flies?) In any event, I suggest end of summer.

    You will love this place!

    Best wishes,

    Chris

It’s such an amazing drive, completely breath taking as well as the little towns along the way. We slept at the top of a hill in our car at port campbell by the sunset!

I went here years ago when I was a kid and it was the most breathtaking and amazing scenery. I have been wanting to go back for years, driving that stretch of road again would be amazing..

I just came back from it and me and my family went to almost all of the attractions but we didn’t go to the waterfalls beecause we asked someone and they said there was only a trickle of water because of the drought…

Great Ocean Road with it’s bends and curbs is a must to go for a drive. The last time i went there, my car broke down at twelve apostles, car died.. =p
