Not worth it!
Suburban cookie cutter place. I worked here. Horrible street traffic. You might as well stop in Issaquah only for a bagel and water, then go hiking in the Cascades instead.

Not worth it!
I don’t like Issaquah. This place is a parking lot for the most part in the home despot region and then a disease of suburban sprawl surrounding the area. I biked through here and am glad that at least there is a nice path going up to the highlands. But other than that, this place was probably pretty cool until the evil forest murders built all these cookie cutter McMansions. If you own one of those homes here, I have a lower level of respect for you.

Worth visiting!
I’ve lived in Old Downtown Issaquah for about three years now (with my wife and now with a newborn too).
Having everything in walking distance is great and it really does have a small town feeling. There’s TONS of hiking trails in the surrounding hills and many great views to be had.
If you’re a meat-eater you HAVE to go to JaK’s Grill and have a Delmonico. Best. Steak. EVAR!
One downside is that we seem to get more rain than surrounding areas. Bummer since I hate rain.
