Worth visiting!

This resort in Turkey is a busy place to stay , it is littered with multiple shops , restaurants and bars , there are two beaches called Ladies beach and town beach in the resort itself and a few more just a short bus ride away , i would suggest going to Pygale beach as it is not very busy and has great amenities such as beach cafes etc.
The main area of night life is Bar street which consists of mainly Irish and English themed bars as expect English prices . For me though i preferred to stay away from the center and went to the many bars and restaurants typically Turkish where the food is better and plentiful and the drink cheap. The main road is very busy and leads down to the center of town where all the main amenities are but along this road are located many bars and restaurants with great atmospheres although the music can be a little load , also there are many kebab shops which are very cheap and i would buy one on my way back to the hotel to give to the two local stray dogs which soon became best friends.
The town itself has many Turkish holiday makers and Europeans and little English there. The locals are very friendly and willing to help in anyway possible and of course all speak English.
Kusadasi is in a great location for visiting the many ancient sites which many are only a short bus journey away such as Ephesus , Selcuk , Didyma , Preine , Militos and Scringe .
The bus to Ephesus cost about £2 and is worth seeing . We got an excursion to Didyma , Milietos and Priene at a local company for £17 with a guide , dinner and air-con bus which also stopped at Altinkum on the way back , great price and a must do activity.
Kusadsi has little or no crime and was very safe to venture alone ,our hotel the Fortin was in a residential area in a darkly lit area but yet i felt very safe in fact i never even thought about it. We got no hassle from the shops and restaurants either as the police had made a crack down on this policy.
Overall a great location for those willing to see the ancient surrounding sites but a little busy and crowded through the day.

Worth visiting!

Enjoy it for what it is. It isn’t Istanbul. It’s a beach town where a lot of shopping happens. Culture is a little trickier to find, but it is there, in the conversations, in the interaction, in the glass of apple tea.

Worth visiting!

This was a stop on a European cruise that I went on last summer. We decided to hire one of the taxi drivers to take us to Mary’s house, Ephesus, etc. In my opinion, it was a little pricey, but worth the air conditioned comfort! He also took us to a leather shop his brother owned where we were able to haggle for some great deals on turkish leather. It pays to pay the locals to show you around!

Not worth it!

If you are planning to visit Turkey just for it’s sun, sand and maybe get ripped off on a carpet, then by all means visit Kusadasi. But if you perfer an authentic taste of Turkey use Kusadasi as a starting off point, and venture further inland.

Rug show! Very impressive presentation of their rugs, and the apple tea was delicious.

Worth visiting!

1.BEACH-there are a lot of beaches, you should try every one of them to see which do you fancy the most. There are some that are so tight in space you feel like someone is sitting on you not next to you.Others are almost deserted and are for peaceful people. There are some that are free and for others you pay.
2.SEA-it is ok.preety hot fo a sea, though sometimes there are algea and sea weed and that could be anoying. The last couple of days we spent in the swimming pool but that was not just for the sea but for the transportation
3.TRANSPORTATION-you can or get a taxi or a dolmush. The difference is in the size(dolmush is like a mini bus and the taxi is of course a car),amount of space(in the dolmush you may find yourself sitting in someones lap,and in the taxi you are alone)and of course the cost of the taxi is a LOT bigger.
4.HOTEL-now that is hard to pick.every hotel has at least a pool, restaurant, air condishoning and a terace.More stars more stuff. The problem comes when picking the location. You basically have 2 options:be near the beach but far from the centre or be near the centre and far from the sea.Depends what is at the most importance for you.
5.PEOPLE-they are great and polite nad always willing to help you. Some want too much to help you.Warning for girls, ladies and women:DO NOT LEAVE THE HOTEL ALONE! Turkish men love foreign women.
6.DURING DAY- there are excursions that make your time fly,for example to Ephesus and Mary Virgin’s house or to Pamukkale. They are great!
7.DURING NIGHT-clubs,shops,fun,fun,fun.Turkish nights with belly dancers and traditional music are entertaining!
8.PRICES-very low.Food,clothes,electronics.You will spend all your money on the variety of items.
9.QUALITY-always! Electronics will last a long time, colthes will not be ripped and you will enyoy food mostly.
10.THINGS REALLY WORTH BUYING-everything is cheap but here are traditionall things you should buy:Turkish apple tea, souvenirs, clothes, fur, leather, shoes.
GENERAL:great place for an awesome time!
TIP:try to talk the owner of the shop into lowering the price.you could get up to 50% off!

Worth visiting!

If you like tramping around in Roman Ruins (and I definitely do), this place is well worth visiting. Amazing sense of history. Super-touristy though, lots of people wandering around with cameras etc, gets very busy during high season.
