The Red Monastery  — 3 years ago

I visited in the summer of 2000. If you are looking for a back door place that not many people come to, this is it. It can not get better than this. The Red Monestary was established in 1084 by St. Bruno. It was inhabited by Cartesian and Camaldulsian monks in two phases. Between 1320 – 1563 it was a Cartesian monastery.

The Monestary sets in a national park called Pininy by the Dunajec River.
