Worth visiting!

I thought water was just going to be drizzling down the waterfall, since I went during late summer. That’s what it was like with a waterfall I went to during the late summer last year at Yosemite (there was just a drizzle coming down). Snoqualmie Falls was still strong…probably not as strong during winter or early Spring though. It was a nice sight to see!

Worth visiting!

You’re a ‘Twin Peaks’ fan, so you know.

Don’t take I-90 to get there. Align your trip so you pass through Fall City, on the backroads. If you can help it, take the Snoqualmie Trail, which is a wide, paved, rail-to-trail path from near Fall City.

Worth visiting!

1967. We toured the little power station at the top of the falls opposite the Lodge. It was really loud with the turbines spinning. Puget Power gave each student a pen that had 4 colors of ink. Since then I’ve returned many times for the huge breakfast at the Lodge, Lunch, and hiking down to the base of the falls for picnics! This is a must see for any Washingtonian.

A tip I have about this place  — 1 year ago

Worth visiting!

I decided to stop by on my way over the mountains, and I was amazed. It’s gorgeous – growing up, I always took waterfalls for granted, like “Oh hey, it’s pretty, that’s awesome, I’m going to argue with my siblings more.”
But, by myself, it was an experience to just watch peacefully. It’s strange to think that what looks so delicate and soft is, in fact, rather deadly.

Apparently there’s a trail that leads from the lower observation area, and goes to the bottom. I didn’t know about it when I visited, but I hear it’s wonderful!

A review of this place: Beautiful Falls, Great Food  — 1 year ago

Worth visiting!

The falls are gorgeous, lots of trails to walk around, and greast food (with good service) at the Lodge, whether you go for the informal dining area or the formal dining room… reserve a seat by the window!

How this place changed my life  — 1 year ago

Worth visiting!

Incredibly beautiful and almost scary. The sound and force of the water is a constant reminder of the changes that are always coming. I went here everyday for 3 weeks and each time it shook me to the core. This waterfall is a good memory of a bad time in my life

Salish Lodge, ooo la la  — 1 year ago

Worth visiting!

What a great place. Very romantic, the rooms are amazing, the hot stone couples massage incredible… the whole experience was awesome. Three cheers for the whole thing, even the 4 course breakfast (sayy whaaa?), as excessive as it was.
