You should go during the five petal rose festival. There are steet vendors and people in renaissance costumes. It’s pretty amazing.

the best time to go is off-season, when the streets are nearly empty (i’ve been twice, once in early january, once in april). the tranquility and beauty of the town is simply magical, especially when you’re the only one around and are just immersed in the quiet beauty of the area.

You have got to come here. Its a small town, with admittedly not much to do, but its got this relaxed atmosphere that can’t be beat. A winding river meanders through the city, and they’ve got their own castle. Check to see if there any performances or festivals going on in the town square. Have dinner by the river while listening to the local people sing folk songs. Wish I was back there! Seems like a great place to live.

Only enough to see to warrant one night’s stay. It is a UNESCO heritage site, so expect a ton of tourists whenever you go.

very beautiful place

Very worth a visit. Quaint and mostly unchanged from it’s 18th century appearance, very pleasant in the summer, but if you are a fan of Gothic surroundings go in the autumn or winter. You’ll get a sense of the dark, brooding claustrophobic atmosphere that inspired Egon Schiele’s art.

I lived pretty closed to Cesky Krumlov for nearly three years. I chosen this location because of its beautiful country side. A lot of nature and an incredible historical panorama (UNESCO world heritage). If you plan to visit Czech Republic, you should definitely visit Cesky Krumlov. This is one of mine favorite places.

Oh the rucus and mayhem of nights i had there. There are two backpackers – one of each side of the town, and between the two many adventures were had along the streets. The Czech Republic prices were muchly appreciate by my stomach (enjoyed some trully awesome food) that had shrunken an incredible amount after skimpy on meals around Western Europe.
