Worth visiting!

I scaled the summit of Sydney Harbour Bridge (aka the Coathanger) in the company of a friend and 10 other climbers on 4th January 07 … We climbed the Bridge at dawn, giving us the opportunity to have a spectacular, 360-degree view of the Harbour city surrounds, 134 metres above the sea level as the sun was rising … It gave me a high stronger than the buzz I would have had from two cups of expresso coffee …{color:blue}

Worth visiting!

Bridge Climb is expensive but fun… try to go on a warm day because it can be cold and windy up there. It’s more like “Bridge Walk” because there isn’t much climbing involved, but since it takes several hours you probably want to be in pretty good physical condition. Spectacular view. A good ending to a fabulous month in Australia and a wonderful few days in Sydney.

Bridge Trouble  — 1 year ago

Worth visiting!

I went to a party to celebrate an anniversary of the bridge and thousands and thousands of people showed up. Everywhere people were getting crushed. We saw it on the news later that day and realized were lucky to get out of there uninjured. Many people ended up seriously injured. When you’re young you just say, ‘That was wild!’

I’ve been there and climbed it.
There is a tour to climb to the top.

What more can I say?
I’ve walked across it a few times, drove across it a few times, taken the train over a few times…but the one thing I’d REALLY love to do, if I had the nerve, is walk over the arch! That would be the most amazing experience, ever. I was there last year (2005) and contemplated it SO much, but to say I’m scared of heights is an understatement, so I didn’t do it. I may pluck up the nerve yet though.
It’s just an icon and a must see for any tourist of Sydney.

The Bridge Walk  — 2 years ago

Worth visiting!

I walked the bridge both at night and day. And it’s an experience that I would encourage everyone who visits the city to do.

Worth visiting!

It is the perfect spot for the new year’s eve fireworks each year, and when I saw the throbbing heart made of lights after last new year’s it didn’t seem cheap. Any kind of token to get people back together after the cronulla riots and bring peace has got to be a good thing.

I like to look down on the bridge from Darling Point road and watch the bats fly over it at sunset when I stay at my sister’s place.

Climb the bridge  — 2 years ago

Worth visiting!

I went to Sydney last summer and climbing the Harbour Bridge was the greatest thing. If you ever go to Sydney you have to climb the bridge. It is definatly worth the money. We went around sunset. It was so beautiful seeing the sun setting from the top of the bridge. I can’t wait to go back and do it again! The gray suits were kinda weird but other than that it was fun.

Worth visiting!

The view was indeed wonderful. We went at night as the sun was setting which to me seemed like the perfect time. What I enjoyed the most was the interesting bunch of people that I was able to meet who were apart of our group. A well run operation, you just have to decide if it is worth the cost…
