Bellevue

Seattle’s skyline looks so different from here, not the typical skyline we’re used to from seeing around Seattle; it’s a different perspective. So maybe that’s why Bellevue got its name from: Belle>beautiful; vue>view ;)

I got an internship here, so I’ll be living in Bellevue for the summer!

Oh and the best place to go here is the Bellevue botanical gardens!

The first time I wwent to this place I was born yo. Now I’m 11 and I’‘ve lived in the same house, and same city all my life. Bellevue so rockz, one problemo though. A lot of people think that everyone has a big German sportscar, lives on the lake, plays tennis (I HATE TENNIS!!!), and has 5 lattes a day! Well this is NOT true. No one in my neighborhood even owns a german sportscar, the lake is about 1 1/2 away, the next tennis cort is about 3/4 of a mile way, and there are NO starbucks for about 2 miles. If your a wimpsy tourist who has material pleasure don’t go here, but if your the sort of person who enjoys sitting on a hammok and drinking a fresh fruit smoothie, while the soft, sweet breeze is wafting over you on an 70 degree August day, then you’ll love it here!

It sucks.

I was there on business and in the short three days did not see anything spectacular. I did, however, like the Russian pirozhki place at the mall.

I ate dinner every day at the Tap House Grill at the Bellevue Galleria. Can’t say I was blown away by the menu, but the setting anf beer list worked for me just fine.

I like this city. Interesting places are close to each other, so you don’t have to go back and forth with your car. and from bellevue arts museum to Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra, Bellevue Square, there are many good places to see, and live.

Food & restaurants. Good.

.. the main downtown area around the mall seems to be kind of rebuilding or building up a bit, and there’s a pretty nice large open park right in downtown which is kind of neat, but other than that is mostly just suburban sprawl.
