Why I want to go to this place — 4 weeks ago
Have heard such great tales about the Great Barrier Reef. I would like to see it before the various environmental threats destroy it beyond repair.

The sea is awesome, and the Reef just proves its vastness of opportunity to explore. My favorite thing was the blue starfish i found on the ocean floor. i loved it, and i plan on going back to live there.

It’s absolutely beautiful and I recommend everyone see it whilst the reef is still in good condition. I’m not a great swimmer, but with my life jacket on I had a wonderful time snorkling amongst all the fish. Some of the little ones come up to nibble your fingers! It doesn’t hurt though – just tickles. The word is global warming will not be kind to the Great Barrier Reef. What a shame!

I am just so grateful that I had the opportunity to go and witness firsthand such a beautiful place. Do it. Don’t hesitate.

I saw a shark, I got very scared, and very sunburnt, but I had an amazing time:)

I want my first snorkel experience to be here so I can see all the beautiful things living in the Great Barrier Reef.

Did the whole 3 hour tour deal… seas were a little rough, including myself, only about 10 of us didn’t puke on the boat. I’d suggest taking some dramamine (as I did) or some other anti motion sickness medicine before boarding the boat. Was a little cool, bring a sweatshirt for the ride and when you get out of the ocean. Incredible! Definitely snorkle or SCUBA if you can. Saw sea turtles, sea cucumbers, star fish, and all the little fishies you want at hands reach. There was a little island where we could take a semi-sub/glass bottom boat to.

I have been snorkeling and scuba diving in Mexico, Hawaii and Cali but I’m sure none of these compare to the Great Barrier Reef! I would love to go there and see the reef and marine life… maybe even some cute Aussie boys?!
