Worth visiting!

There is a ton of the things do in this city. The most important thing to remember though is get a hotel on in the strip and just walk. Driving through The Strip actually takes longer than walking.

Worth visiting!

You’ll do a lot of walking. The strip is soooo long. It took us an entire day to see most of the casinos. Bring good shoes and start early.

Well it’s not as fun when you’re under 21, but it’s still a great visit. I can’t wait until I’m 21 and can go back and actually do something! :)

Stay at a timeshare condo:

Look on Craigslist or Ebay for people selling their timeshares and you will save a TON of money. My 4-day trip to Vegas cost me a grand total of $385… and the plane ticket was $250 of that. We stayed at the Marriott’s Grand Chateau (which had a pool and bar on the roof!) and the Wyndham Grand Desert (which had amazing customer service). Casinos like Paris and MGM Grand are within walking distance of both of them. At the Grand Chateau, we did have to do a presentation, but at Wyndham we did not.

Check out sunorsnowtimeshare.com to check out rates for the Wyndham Grand Desert.

All ladies are VIPs:

If you go to Vegas with a group of (especially good-looking) girls (no men), all you have to do is walk up and talk to the bouncer at any club you want to go to and you will probably get to walk past all of the lines. This may not be true at really exclusive places or when a celebrity is at the club or something, but when I went, it was like that everywhere. Make sure you get a free pass before hand so you won’t have to pay either. Or sometimes the bouncers will give them to you. I think a lot of ladies didn’t know this and wasted lots valuable time in line.

For example, on our last night, a Sunday, my friends and I went to Body English at the Hard Rock. The line was endlessly long. Since it was our last night, we really didn’t want to wait in line all night, so we walked up to the bouncer at the front of the line and waited for him to acknowledge us. Before we even had to say a word, a VIP host “adopted” us, gave us free passes, and got us right in. And normally people pay for VIP hosts… It was awesome and we felt on top of the world! So anyway, my point is, in Vegas women don’t wait in line… keep that in mind on your next girl’s trip.

If you’re a guy… unless you have some $$$$ to pay for bottle service or VIP hosts or unless know someone who knows someone, good luck…

Watch out for the taxi drivers:

Do your research and know where you’re going and how to get there. A lot of times taxi drivers will take you the long way to wherever you need to go in order to make more money. And taxi rides in Vegas are NOT cheap. So be specific if necessary, and let them know in advance that you aren’t gonna take any B.S.

Oh, and speaking of taxi drivers, make sure you use the crosswalks please. Nothing ruins a trip like getting hit by a car.

Anyway, that’s just what I gathered from my first trip to Vegas. Can’t wait to go back!

The first time I went to this place  — 1 month ago

Worth visiting!

I stayed in Vegas for about two weeks with some friends. We rented a house just a 5 minute drive off the strip. It was definately the way to go.

We had a pool, a billard table. We had a queen size bed each and a room we didn’t even use. Between the three of us we were paying $40 a night.

Best time ever.

Not worth it!

Las Vegas is the epitome of all things tawdry. I was only in town on business, and I’m definitely not in any hurry to return.

There is nothing glamorous about Vegas. Everything there looks like a cheap knockoff. It’s full of dumpy tourists dressed in sweat pants heading off to spend their days (and nights!) in windowless casinos just to dump money into the house’s coffers. The food, even at the best buffets, is generally poor quality, and the theater shows have all been edited to fit a shorter running time. (This is so the casinos can move more people through per night.) The high-roller rooms are perpetually stocked with Japanese gamblers who have several stacks of chips, any one of which is worth enough money to purchase a large house in cash.

Even the David Copperfield show I was kind of disappointing, since the big ultimate “trick” of the night was so silly (does he really think a modern audience is going to be fooled by a fake TV feed?). He did have a couple of pretty good tricks that made up for it, though. If I end up ever going back, I’ll have to see Penn & Teller.

If you want style and class, try visiting Paris, Madrid, or London. Vegas is just pathetic and depressing. Still, if you do end up going, the New Frontier Hotel and Casino has cheap rooms, and the staff are really friendly.
