Roatan

Because it’s a caribbean paradise, so it has incredible beaches of white sand, transparent water and beautiful palm trees.

Because is’s the second world’s bigger coral reef and inhabitants caring much of the reef, so it’s a paradise for diving and who enjoy snorkelling.

Because you can do a lot of activities like horse riding, scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming with dolphins, kayaking, trekking…

It was a cruise ship port, but it just couldn’t have been more beautiful, and the people were the nicest I encountered my whole week long cruise. It was lovely, and I would do it again!

I was in Roatan in 1993, and it was beautiful, peaceful, and genuine. The coral reefs were even intact. Now it has been ruined by tourism.

Great diving and weather!

If you want to visit a peaceful and tranquil island before fast food restaurants and huge resorts show up … then Roatan is the place to visit. Get there as soon as you can, as the building has already started, cruise ships are arriving weekly and it will only be a matter of time until you’ll be buying a Big Mac in beautiful West End Beach.

Advanced Open Water Certification achieved! My 7 days trip turned into 11… met some AWESOME people and just couldn’t leave!

The Scuba Diving here is fabulous and there is a true effort by the local divers to care for and protect the reef that should be applauded.
More places should be aware of their impact in this way.

It is definitely worth the money to swim with the dolpins at Anthony’s Key Resort. This is a once in a lifetime experience!

I stayed in Roatan for a month, and it is an incredible place. The people are friendly, there is fantastic scuba diving (cheapest place to learn and also one of the best places to learn), great food, fun bars, and a laid-back feeling. Not the cheapest place I’ve been, but you can have a lobster dinner for <$10 and a cabin on the beach for a month for way less rent than I pay in California for a small apartment!
