I was able to visit the Emmanual Boyz Rescue Centre in Nairobi, which helps boys get off the streets and back into school.

How this place changed my life  — 1 year ago

Worth visiting!

Nairobi was the first city I visited in Africa. I was lucky to be staying with friends and to have a lot of introductions set up. I was really afraid of the food and the water and all the horror stories. But, behind the walls (Nairobi is a walled city) I found an incredibly friendly and cosmopolitan city. I loved hanging out in the clubs (incredibly beautiful women) dancing all night long, going to great placed to eat. Amazing thing about this town is how large it is and I think I only saw one stop light during my stay. A great town. Can’t wait to go back!

Why I want to go to this place  — 1 year ago

because I’m going to go the ministry Made In The Streets this summer. I have a feeling it’s going to be very emotionally draining but very rewarding as far as personal growth and the like. I think my eyes will certainly be opened to the extent of my rampant consumerism. Value life in a different way maybe.

It’s a bit dangerous in the city so make sure you know who you’re dealing with when coming to visit.

Recommendation: onchari -the visionary  — 1 year ago

I have an immovable conviction that only young and fresh peole in kenya can giveus the kind of kenya that is worth bequeathing to posterity.Having seen and personally witnessed what onchari oyieyo can do,i have full confidence in him and in whatever he says we do.it is important that we,the under 25 grasp a firm vision that can stand the test of time so as to take this beautiful country to the promised land.
Kudos onchari and do not go missing because the game has just began.

A tip I have about this place  — 1 year ago

Worth visiting!

A nice place to eat is the Panari Hotel. It is just like the Carnivore but service is better and I hear it’s a little cheaper too.

A tip I have about this place  — 1 year ago

Worth visiting!

Great place – fun and very interesting.

I found that there were quite a few Lepers begging on street corners in various stages of their disease. As much as I wanted to give out money I was told that other beggars would start following and harassing and kids will just multiply out of thin air if you give one child something. I’d suggest giving money to an orphanage.

You also need to watch your wallet and knapsacks while walking. They like to walk up behind you and cut your bag open and reach inside for stuff.

The clubs are great. “Florida 2000” need I say more.
