Tuvalu

I worked in Tuvalu back in 1999, on Funafuti.
There’s not a great deal to do if you are a tourist, but the people are fantastic, very laid back etc.
there are a few ship wrecks to check out, and the fact that you could walk right up to the prime ministers house shows how laid back it was!

I was a Peace Corps volunteer here from 1991 to 1993. Wow. What a privilage that was. I can see my old house in the photo.

I heard about this small country a couple of years ago in a news story. When the internet people were assigning the dot names Tuvalu got .tv well it seems this was quite a bit of luck. The islanders eventually sold the right to .tv for a lot of money which has helped the island along. Seems relaxing, but how to get there?
