Worth visiting!

Make sure that you do not chew gum in public or litter (they have steep penalties or at least did when I was a kid visiting there- we were sternly warned).

Worth visiting!

I lived in Singapore for three years from first to third grade, and I really want to go back! I love it there, very clean and very safe place. Some of the most delicious food on earth can be found in Singapore.

Worth visiting!

Definitely worth a visit, we only went for sort of 2 days and packed in loads and probably didn’t see half of it! sad as it may sounds our first stop was top shop!!! But managed the night safari which was good and then a drink at Raffles followed by a trip to Zouk.

A review of this place: Efficient Singapore  — 2 months ago

Worth visiting!

I visited Singapore with my mom in 2007. It’s a bit of a “fake” country – everything’s been constructed recently for tourism I guess, kinda like Dubai – no established culture, not much of history.

Everything’s ridiculously expensive. Best word to describe Singapore would be “efficient.” Forget expectations of spectacular views, amazing sceneries, or friendly locals. But at least your transport (trains, buses) runs on schedule, there’s no littering anywhere, and there are no dangers lurking in dark alleys. Singapore’s citizens seem well-sustained, so if there are any muggers, chances are they’re visitors themselves, or so they say in Singapore. It’s a very small, well-managed country – you can traverse it end to end in one day.

I’d recommend the place for experience though. There’s only two of its kind (nanny state) in the world, the other one being Dubai.
