Worth visiting!

A nice and obvious resting point for any extended tours of the islands to the west, highlands to the northwest and lochs to the southwest.

Inverness.  — 1 year ago

This place is alright, it’s not as bad as people often make it out to be. I mean, if you just want to be free from the city you just have to travel like, 2-3 and you’re in the country with fantastic views, I love that, in either direction too!

Worth visiting!

Got to admit the sneckie is not the best of places!
It hasnt got the biggest shopping centre or the best of pubs and clubs. It also has not really got anywhere for people to hang out.
The best thing about ness though is the people! The people u meet are genuine and are normally extremley polite and helpful.
I love ness prob just cause its my hometown but if u want 2 do or be somewhere different i would suggest coming here!
And mind the Cairngorms are only what 45mins away!

A Night Out in Inverness  — 1 year ago

Not worth it!

Inverness is the capital of the Highlands. I have been out once in my supposed ‘capital’. Full of neds it certainly is. But Barbazza was fun… We went there to see Kane Dingle (at my friends request). Quite funny how all these girls were screaming for an ageing soap star who is married and didn’t really seem to want to mingle with all these girls who were half naked in their skimpy clothes. If that’s your sort of thing, go for it. But I was with my best mate, so it wasn’t all that bad. Waiting at the taxi rank for a taxi back to her gran’s in Dingwall, there was a fight in our queue… enter police, blood, bruises, swinging fists… oh yea, it was fun.

Nessie Watch  — 1 year ago

Worth visiting!

The first time I went, I was with my grandmother who turned just past the Nessie Watch station and was confronted by a statue of the beast, herself. I thought she was going to croak! As for the town itself, it’s very small, peaceful, and extremely friendly. Not a bad stop on a Scotland tour.

The district was created, under the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, by combining the royal burgh and the district of the county with the Aird district of the county. The rest of the county was divided between other districts of the Highland region and the Western Isles islands council area.

Worth visiting!

The city is the self-proclaimed “Capital of the Highlands”. It is the administrative centre for the Highland council area and for the Inverness committee area of the Highland Council. Between 1975 and 1996, as a town without even the status of a local government burgh, it was the administrative centre of the Highland region and the Inverness district of the region.

Worth visiting!

I loved the River Ness. It was so beautiful at sunset, and the churches were gorgeous. I really liked this place, loved Loch Ness! We had a man take us out on a boat, and he told us more about Scotland than anyone else we had talked to. GREAT PLACE.
