The first time I went to this place  — 11 months ago

    Worth visiting!

It’s actually the only time so far. My wife and I vacationed in Vancouver and Victoria for a week. We made a quick trip to Wreck Beach just so I could say that I’ve been to a nude beach. My wife didn’t want to join me, so I went by myself. It was the middle of March—cold and cloudy, so I and the other two people who were there all kept our clothes on, of course. I just stood there for a while, watching the water.

It was well worth it both for the fact that I can say I’ve been to a nude beach and for the exhilarating hike down the shoddy stairs and back up.

I’d love to go back in the summertime. I think actually being able to lounge in the sun with nothing on would be relaxing and liberating.

if you go, just be aware it’s a steep steep climb back up, and its advisable to take plenty of water with you, but leave your camera at home lol.. I went for the first time last summer while visiting Vancouver and went au natural for the first time… very liberating and I’d recommend everyone try it at least once, and i’m far from having a perfect body.. but no one seemed to be interested in looking at anyone in that way anyhow.. great pizza, special souvenir t shirts and so forth and 420 are available from numerous vendors, also the venues are fantastic, and i’m not talking bout the people, although some are very tanned.. but the hillside, mountains, seeing eagles flying low, the sanddunes, skyline.. just awesome

Almost heaven  — 2 years ago

Wow, I was totally freaked when I found out this place actually existed and I could go there and lie around naked and not worry about anything. Two drawbacks – it’s a long hike down to the beach and the water isn’t quite healthy to swim in but otherwise the whole experience of wandering around totally naked, being seen and seeing others was just terrific. After my first exposure, this beach got added to all my subsequent visits to Vancouver.

Best time was my last trip in part because of the person I was travelling with. He felt it to be a neat experience and we enjoyed a day together in the sun sipping drinks and watching the people go by. Oh, and one cute thing he said was “I was always worried my penis was really small until I got here and saw all sorts of guys walking around who are smaller than me.”

Feel free. Sunbathing nude is the best kind of feeling!

A great place if you have no bathing suit. Also liberating in that everyone else is naked, so there’s no need to feel self-conscious about your body. Imaging being at the mall or other shopping places and imaging all the people you see there, naked. That’s what it’s like.

omg nude beach lol  — 2 years ago

Actually, there really wasn’t any “omg” or “lol” involved. In fact, it couldn’t have been more the opposite. That was the whole point of my visit here. It’s best to visit here with friends, definitely.

Extremely relaxing. Except for the one part of my hip I forgot to apply sunblock to, I definitely left feeling a lot better.

how can you not want to see old nekkid white men?!  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

this is where i spent most of my afternoons while i was at UBC on student exchange. of course the first 1/2 hour would be spent recovering from the exhausting climb down the steps and saving energy for the even more devastating climb BACK up [can you say out of shape?!]
but i LOVE wreck beach. it is so CLEAN unlike singapore beaches. plus of course the naked old white men [including our caf guy] aiyohhh, put that back in!
