    A Weeks Vacation  — 6 months ago

    Worth visiting!

I went here on vacation for a week with my boyfriend and his family. We went to Busch Gardens and I went on a roller coaster for the first time ever. We also toured downtown Colonial Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown. It was soo much fun and I would totally do it all again if I was given the chance.

My mother, her old boyfriend Carl, my friend Joey, and I took Carl’s RV to a campground here the summer after fourth grade. We went to Bush Gardens!

I went with my 11th grade class. It was interesting to take a step into the past and see how people once lived. It’s a great way to learn about our country’s beginnings and what life was like back then.
We also visited Yorktown and Jamestown, which was also intersting. Of course, the most fun part of the trip was Bush Gardens. It was fun to hang out with friends and enjoy the rides and such.
It’s a nice place to visit.

Recommendation: Dudley's Farmhouse Grille  — 1 year ago

Dudley’s Farmhouse Grille ( http://www.dudleysfarmhousegrille.com ) in Toano is a hidden gem. The food is terrific (high quality ingredients prepared beautifully), the ambiance is very relaxing (an old turn of the last century farmhouse), and the wine list is quite extensive (and reasonably priced).

If you’re visiting, add this to your list of places to go. Dudley’s is not to be missed.

Absolutely a beautiful drive in October. If Barrett’s is still there…go eat there. It’s wonderful!

Why I recommend this place to visitors  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

We had a wonderful time visiting the entire Historical Triangle: Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Jamestown. We were there for only a weekend, but we could have spent an entire week and kept ourselves entertained easily!

    Worth visiting!

This place gives the most Family bang for the buck of any place that I’ve been.
Busch Gardens is awesome and like half the price of Disney. The beach is a half hour drive. Colonial Williamsburg is nice to walk around with the kids. Everything is much cheaper than other tourist traps.
Caveat: Not too many good restarunts. (At least that I found.)

wasn’t my favorite vacation, especially since just about every year we went to gettysburg for a school trip. if you haven’t already overloaded on that kinda thing, i guess you should go. it’s kinda funny to see how many people are walking around dressed like colonists. i think we’d understand the tour just as well if you were in jeans.
