ah how i miss you astroworld. :(

They had 2 of the best roller coasters in the world, here. I had great times here as a kid.

it was really great, and i had lots of fun. the water park was amazing. BUT its closed down now, so it looks like nobody will be visiting it anymore. All of the props and pieces from the roller coasters were auctioned off.

I visited Astroworld at least 3 times a year since I was able to walk. It was great as a kid and adult, but of course time got the best of the park and it was closed down in 2006(?) It wasn’t the best amusement park, but it will always hold a place in my heart!! It’s sad to see something so neat in your own backyard go away.

Ah, I grew up loving Astroworld. Alas, it’s dead and gone! Some days I have this enormous desire to walk through it… to ride on the Serial Thriller and the Viper or get soaked on the Tidal Wave. It makes me want to cry!!

There were some pretty cool roller coasters here. I wonder what happened to it…

It’s dead and gone… sold… dismantled. Just an empty lot. :(
