Pittsburgh Zoo

Happy place to visit.

My favorite part of the zoo is Mae, the one-armed Gibbon monkey.

A nice zoo. A lot of cool animals. The meerkat exhibit was great. A great zoo although I wouldn’t eat here.

The first time I went to the zoo(when they had there old awesome shark tank that was so much cooler then the one they have now)you could get really close to the glass and I did and I was 2 years old and a shark came really close to me and now I’m scarred of sharks.

Polar bear exhibit is closed right now… but the rest of the zoo was fantasic… esp the aquarium.
Had a great time with the family.

i know this is kinda strange, but every time my friends and i skip classes, we go to the pbgh zoo. i’ve always wanted a guy to take me there on a date. ha.

Hint: You can’t get directions from Mapquest to get to the Pittsburgh zoo. Not the last I heard, anyways. Apparently the road the zoo is on isn’t actually recognized as a real road by the US census, or something like that, so Mapquest will (or at least used to) send you to some random road in some random residential district. Now I think Mapquest at least links you to the zoo’s website. But anyways, get driving directions from the zoo’s website or call them. It’s definitely worth going, you just don’t want to get lost on the way there.

the zoo was awesome. the aquarium was a lot of fun and my favorite animal was the tiger. pretty soon they will have an awesome polar bear enclosure (august 2006) as well as a few other new enclosures. the elephants were also really cool and you should catch them there while you can, elephants are bring phased out of zoos quicky!
