Great food, friendly people
Let me warn against taking the Ghost Tour – not worth the money.

So incredibly wonderful. We stayed at historic Riverwalk Hotel which used to be a cotton baling warehouse right on the river close to the waving girl. I’d definitely go back

Eat there… there is good sea food and fresh. Also check out Colonial Park Cemetary, you may find an old friend who signed three documents we know of… dead through a duel.

There was a big festival going on at the river…and I’d like to go back at a more quiet time. We did some tours, ate at Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House, Lady & Sons….but it was part of a quick trip from Charleston and not enough time.

Oh my god.. this is the most GORGEOUS city in the united states. i love the historic district, and a bit macabre, i know, but the cemetery as cool. i used to live about five hours west in columbus, GA. and my step brothers lived in fort stewart, which is right outside Savannah. my after school plans are to go to Savannah College of Art and Design, and study industrial design, and possibly historic preservation. all teh while feasting on teh goodies offered at river street candy company. lmao. this is a must go destination bofore you die. and once you visit, you wont EVER want to leave

I love Savannah! It’s the largest renovated historic district in the country. There is iron work fencing and cobblestone streets, horsedrawn carriages, as well as steamboats and lovely little parks all throughout the city called squares. There is an international art college there as well so there are art students everywhere with pink and purple hair, it’s such a diverse place. Spanish moss covered 200 year old live oak trees, palms, and in spring when the azaleas bloom it is breathtaking! There are little bed and breakfasts all over and the beach is only 15 min away. You will fall in love with Savannah too if you come here. : )

I love this place and one of the best things about it is the little “marketers” they have selling handmade stuff—especially the jewelry. Loved it.

love this place! i go there as often as i can. a medium sized town with a homey feel, savannah is rich in history & art. you will find tons to do there, including city tours, ghost tours & great shopping. for food, i recommend the greek restaurant on river street, as well as, the cotton exchange restaurant. this city is beautiful. if you are a photographer, visiting is a must! there is still so much that i haven’t experienced. every time i go back, there are more new things to do
