Sixth Street

Not worth visiting!

A review of this place: Don't take my word for it...

I can’t stand bars or crowds, so Sixth Street definitely wasn’t for me.

The last time I went to this place

The last time I went to 6th Street I wasn’t drunk. I advise anyone going to 6th to have AT LEAST a good buzz, otherwise the sloppy drunk people will get on your nerves and their drinks will get on your clothes. This is a “meet market” around 1:45 to 2 a.m. Watch as drunk guys attempt to get girls to go home with them and watch girls agree as the night’s numerous shots have finally caught up and lowered their inhibitions and standards.

How this place changed my life

This is the first place my (now) husband and I went on a date. Our son is named Austin after it.

Music, Food & Fun!

This is the place to come in Austin. Blues next to Rock, next to Thrash. There’s something on this street for everyone! We use to just walk down 6th Street, and listen. When we heard something we liked, in we went! Such a great place to go if Music is your thing! I’m hoping is hasn’t gone too commercial in the years I’ve been gone. It was always so personal, so… about the music.

Clubbing

If you’re in Austin and you like to check out the night life go to 6th Street. I had so much fun there!!! Fat Tuesday’s, Planet Austin…so many places I went, but these two I remember the most (it has been quite a few years ago that I visited Austin).
