Two Things That I Liked About This Place
1. An interesting view of the Manhattan skyline
2. First opportunity to get a nice mug of A&W root beer after being overseas.

We flew into Newark from Rome last week and the employees of the airport were very rude except for the two ladies who helped us due to a canceled flight. The girl at the Starbucks was rude, the guys working at the tram were rude, and the people working the counter were rude. I hope to never use this airport again, if at all possible.

Remember that discount flyer? I used them to fly home to MI when I was in medical school. Though the school was in CA, and I lived in MI, People’s Express stopover was Newark. Go figure.

It’s better than most airports. It’s clean and I never get lost there. It’s well designed and if you follow the signs you shouldn’t have a problem. A lot better than McCarran.

I wouldn’t say it’s “worth visiting!” because it’s just an airport. I can’t compare it to the other airports in the area because this is the only one I’ve been to, but I can tell you this airport is BUSY!
I went through here two days after the London terror plot was foiled (geez, that sounded so Scooby Doo!) and they were EXTREMELY thorough in hand checking my carry-on bag. (I had just flown in from Frankfurt and security was the theme of the day.) In any case, I nearly missed my connecting flight her despite the fact that there was 2 hours between the two flights. I was very lucky to have found a kind and helpful Continental employee who helped me get onto my flight in time. I wish I had written his name down, as he really saved the day for me and I’d love to let the airline know.
I have never been to New York City, so I was actually excited to see the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty from here. So close, yet so far away! A friend of mine who is a flight attendant says she was able to take a quick tour of the city during a lengthy layover (4 hours). I was so envious!

I’ve heard a lot of nice things about Terminal C, but I flew into Terminal B, and it was alright—Newark itself was kind of intimidating, but the airport was fine…

This is an awful airport. I had a layover here between Seattle and Buffalo. Just finding my way around was bad, because they just don’t have signs like they should.

Of all of the airports that I have visited, it is definitely one of them. There is a pretty good selection of food to be had there, and if you look really hard you can see the Empire State Building from some windows.
I’ve flown to some great places from EWR, but in and of itself, it’s nothing really special.

...it’s nice enough, though, I’ve been in worse airports, and it was handy for when I needed to get a cheap flight in to visit friends in NYC. The rail line to Penn Station runs quickly enough, so no complaints there either. But otherwise I admit I barely took notice of the airport beyond that passenger shuttle thing between the terminals and the train stop, which was pretty cool (reminds me of similar things as at Las Vegas and so forth).

Went via here to Seattle in December 2004. I remember running outside for a quick smoke, and nearly dying of hypothermia – it was freezing!
