My favorite place

This is just the prettiest place to spend some time. I went at sunset, and the sky was turning all shades of blue and there were artists and music and the fountains were lit up pretty. Sigh. Just lovely. COuld have spent a day there just watching the people go past.

A review of this place: Heavenly

The Piazza Navona quickly became my favorite spot in the city during my trip there. I loved just sitting on the edge of a fountain and taking everything in during the evening. Bernini became my favorite sculptor – of course I hadn’t heard of him before…but I studied every angle of those fountains. They’re so beautiful!

Oh geez! This is the best part of Rome by far!!! So beautiful here! Think of 5000 different words to explain beautiful, that’s the only way to describe it! Plus the people who live nearby I found were the nicest in Rome all together. This is a MUST when going to Roma!

Fountains

The fountains are beautiful, we couldn’t stop taking pictures :). We did see one of the vendor guys fish all the coins out of one of the fountains though. Now you know where those wishes end up…

Piazza Navona…Piazza Navona…Piazza Navona! I will never forget that name, in our tour group that was the meeting place everytime we had free time in Rome. A story…well, there was this creepy human statue holding a plastic cat and when you gave him money he let out this loud meow, ya know, like a cat. Well, this girl Alison decided to go poke the guy, at first he ignored her but after a couple of pokes he takes the cat and whacks her with it, telling her she’s a bad girl. OMG! Made my day, laughed so hard at that.

A tip I have about this place

Just sit and people watch as you try to relax and regain feeling in your feet.
Also, the best gelato in Rome is right next to the square! It’s a must try!

Very touristy, but I had the best pizza in a restaurant here. Unfortunately, I can’t recall what it was called

Our favorite piazza in Rome!

My wife and I loved this piazza! Something about it really made us feel comfortable and it was so beautiful. I think that walking around Roma, with its warren of streets, all curving and ending continously, made the long openess of this plaza especially reflreshing, but it also seemed to be a more ‘local’ place, fewer tourists (this was October) than in the other parts of town. We just relazed and enjoyed the amazing fountains, visited a cafe, shopped for postcards, and visited the vendors (there were just enough at this time of year).

Wonderful
