Memphis International Airport

If ToddieM can claim this one, then by golly, I’m going to make a connection here and bag this one for myself too.

This one has a slightly Vegas vibe…but a southern-fried version.

This place closes down after dark. I was on a slightly delayed NWA connection, and they sent my next plane on without me - leaving me stranded overnight. And there weren’t even any other flights they could send me out on - at 7pm! The staff suggested a bathroom I could sleep in overnight. I don’t need reminding never to accept another flight connecting through Memphis again.

That’s all it was, and it only happened once. And I’m claiming it!

Memphis International is the world’s number one airport in terms of air cargo. The main reason for this is because Fed Ex is based out of Memphis. The airport features some nice resturaunts such as the Blue Note. I missed a flight in Memphis this past summer, thanks to NWA delays, and had time to get aquainted with this airport. Not a bad place to be stranded if you have some time(and money) to waste.
