The last time I went to this place

The lambics.. The beers.. the croquets… the alcoholic cheesecake. All insanely guilty and good.

The booze selection is more like a booze bible.

A tip I have about this place

Try the frites with satay sauce… so tasty!

The last time I went to this place

I was there during the Freemont Solstice festival last week. Great selection of beers, but be prepared to pay $9 for the more exotic ones.

For some reason a lot of people think I look gay. Random girl asks my friend Ethan if I am. He says no. She walks up to me and starts fully making out with me. Stunned, I just kind of stand there. She announces to everyone that I’m not gay and walks on.

A tip I have about this place

This is the only place in Seattle I’ve ever seen with Maredsous 10 on draft – that alone would make a trip here worth it! Not to mention 50 other beers…

It’s really finished, bordering on cheesy but architecturally it’s really interesting with this galler/mezzanine that wraps around and looks down on the entry floor seating. Oh, and there’s beer, so many you can’t believe it. That’s kinda cool, I wish I liked beer!

Also, I received excellent service from the (small liquor) bar last time I went. A nice spot for a get together with friends when you don’t want to worry about crowds being too thick.

go upstairs!

There is a neat little room with, I think, leather easy chairs and a fireplace which looks like it belongs in a castle or something. And of course the whole place is pretty neat, and what can I say, they have dozens and dozens of good beers. Too bad it’s all the way up in Fremont…
