Highway 101

One of the best drives ive ever taken in my life!!! We camped out along the way, i recommend it highly!!!

I can now say Ive done the entire oregon coast, it is such an awesome drive. It is a road with a thousand possibilities.

Last summer, I drove by myself down Highway 101 from Tillamook, Oregon to Santa Monica, California. I stayed in hostels along the way. I had lots of time to think about where I am in my life, and where I want to go in the future. It was very enlightening to travel alone for such a long distance.
I would like to make the trip down highway 101 again, and if possible, take someone along with me. I would like to start in northern Washington state and travel down into Mexico, if I had enough time.

My sister and I took a road trip together including a good portion of 101 – AWESOME – would love to recreate that and do more of 101 – hopefully in a larger car! truly breathtaking views and an incredible bonding experience… never forget it

Another great Destination Drive – one that is worth travelling the world to get to!

Starting from the mouth of the Columbia River it travels past mile after mile of beach on one side and the temperate rain forests fon the other.

Further south, the nature of the territory changes and the scenary becomes dominated alternatively with vistas of
rugged cliffs, lush forest, farms, and sandy beaches taking the forefront.
