A tip I have about this place

I’m a sucker for a nice beach. But Ka’anapali has some of the best swimable beaches I’ve seen. Easily one of my top 3 favorite beaches in the world

Beautiful beach. Have a photo of my son & husband jumping off the cliff here back in 1987- before digital camera! Great snorkelling. Crowded, so I would recommend staying farther up the road in Wielea

Went to Mauii Spring Break of 1997 w/ my family and my friend KIM!! It was soo much fun! One of the best vacations I have ever been on.. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency.. went snorkling, swimming, drank smoothies, shopping, went to the Hard Rock Cafe.. It was soooo much FUN!

Crazy busy on the main side...

...try for the beach on the other side of the hotel through which trespassing is prohibitted. It’s pretty easy to get through unscathed, at least in August early in the morning. There’s paths all the way through, I think. Don’t jump off cliffs where it tells you not to jump off—it really is a suicide mission, they’re not just being paranoid.

The real jumping cliffs are over on the main side, the ten people per square meter part. But, if you don’t get caught in the nasty current that hangs out on the other side, there’s some surface-scratching snorkeling and a pretty beach awaiting you. Plus very few people, because it’s not perfect.

And the water really is that gorgeous.

A review of this place: Ka'anapali Beach

We stayed at a hotel on this beach in Hawai’i. It’s relatively close to everything, offers attractive tourist and leisure options, and the beach is much cleaner and less crowded than North Shore or any other place on the islands.
