Glastonbury Tor

The Tor is a amazing place to visit. Its not as bad of a hike people make it seem. The view is breath taking and it really will stand out in your mind for the rest of your life. I really felt changed after going to visit and i only got to spend the day, I would love to go back some time. The people in the town are a bunch of dirty hippies and they are all amazing and friendly. Im not a beliver so much in places of energy or things like that but if i ever was in a place that you could really only describe as magic it would be the Tor. If you are able to you should go see it sit on the green hill and take as much in as you can.

Absolutely breathtaking view of the surrounding Glastonbury countryside. I felt more at peace here than just about anywhere else in the world. Although I’m not generally a believer in the spiritual aspects that get brought up about the Tor and the area in general, I personally felt a deep inner peace while here.

Then again, that could have been just the lack of oxygen from the climb in the cool late spring wind while I was pitifully out of shape.

What an amazing view from the top! Despite my bf and I being rather unfit and both having asthma we made it to the top for sunset both nights and boy it was worth it!!! You can’t go to Glastonbury without going here!
On the first night we met a group of guys (in fancy dress as knights and wizards) on a “Quest” around landmarks in the area and the second night we met a guy called Bear who was a legend of a guy… It’s worth talking to others up there lol!

On the way back from the Tor it’s also worth stopping for a pint in the Rifleman’s Arms – an awesome rock pub with regular live bands, a great juke-box and friendly bar staff ^-

My heart and soul sleep together peacefully on an archaic hillside in Avalon, overlooking a natural well adorned with apple trees and when my body is weary, my mind knotted, I go back to their resting place to awaken my spirit once more. Only then does life’s beauty dance naked and free upon the path of my life and the Goddess within me rise to celebrate the limitless magic of the universe.

Amazing view. the city of Glastonbury or really cool as well.

First trip away from Bath….. memorable time…

We did it twice while we were in town, and the view from up there is lovely. I found myself feeling very moved, spiritually, too. Somehow, I felt as though I’d “come home” in some way. Well worth visiting.
