Folly Beach

This is the first beach i went to in SC and the first beach i went to in all my life. It was a nice day…......... i was so exited.Wen i first got there it was all kewl and not only the first time at a beach but my first time seeing a shark!It was just 10ft. long i saw it wit my own eyes it was kewl. well i forget wat else happened so….BYE!

i spent the night in a car on the beach with two of my best friends. we woke up early the next morning and watched the sunrise

Such a wonderful and beautiful little town. I recommend strolling down the beach and around the town. Check out the old lighthouse, too.

Folly beach was AWESOME, Although it was packed (4th of July weekend) I had an awesome time, the shopping was great, the beach was great and everyone I ran into had a very laid back attitude.

I spent many o’ spring breaks down here!! Way different than Myrtle, less commercialized and trashy! Nice beach, but extremely boring if you’re into finding fun!

I loved driving down to Folly Beach in my bathing suit with the windows open. We’d drive to South Folly Beach and park on the road so we didn’t have to pay. Then we’d walk onto the beach. We’d sit in the sun, but only for a few minutes then we’d swim…sometimes it was calm and peacful and relaxing. Other times the waves were so big I could hardly stand in the water. Then we’d go to the showers and rinse off and feel so refreshed and cool and clean – even if it was a hot, muggy, 100 degree day.

The sand is soft, though it’s brown which is a little weird if you’re used to white sandy beaches. I certainly wasn’t prepared for it. The water is brown too, and you can’t see what you’re stepping on or in. There is a lot of cool stuff you can find on the beach and in the water though. Sand Dollars are abundant. Once, I saw a pod of dolphin playing in the surf just off of the coast line. It was really cool to watch, even if the pictures didn’t come out because they were too far away.

Last year a new cafe opened up that had a wine store in it. The food was AWESOME.
