Greek Islands

I wish to see the Greek Island of Evia because my Mum loved the place so much she built a house there with her partner but sadly died before she could live there.

I went to a couple of the islands of Greece when I was about 9, though I can’t remember which ones. I do remember going inside a volcano, which was amazing, you could see how hot it was in the cracks of the ground, and there were certain bits of it which had to be fenced off because of the danger of burning, it was so hot. I think it’s still active as well. We also went to a monastry on top of a huge hill and a couple of the towns. It was an amazing experience, and I’d love to go back to visit the rest of it, and find out the name of the islands I actually went to.

Hey travel folks – I will upload photos later but just wanted t o say that Rhodes is one of the most beautiful islands! I loved it there and the people are so nice. I am going back—-AFTER I make it to Santorini! Mykonos was fantastic too!

People are always trying to help you, even if they only speak greek. It took me a while to understand that a word that to me would mean ‘no’ is actually a positive answer in greek. I saw people throwing guinea pigs on to the street, people singing to me in a minimarket, dogs that were so fat they could hardly move, hot springs that were a laugh, walking trails through amazing flower fields and silent hills where sheeps were the kings.

Taking a cruise around the Greek Islands is so nice, but either bring something to do, or some sunscreen if you want to tan. I kept falling asleep, and would wake up paranoid about my money being stolen. Other than that, the views were so nice, and if you go to the top it is super windy.

Kefalonia is a lovely small island with plenty of views and beaches. Absolutely amazing!!!

breathtaking – i would love to go to the greek islands with you – and you would take my breath away there.
to take in the culture, the scenery.
adventuring to the different islands, cruising.
i can’t imagine a better person to be sharing and appreciating this with.
