16th Street Mall

was built for tourists/walkers. Easy access by lightrail or bus, free stuff, churches, souvenirs, food, entertainment. I likes it. I love the concept of an outdoor mall, with escalators outside and everything. I got my ears peirced a second time at the Claire’s here with my best friends.

The nightlife sucks in this area. Go to Blake Street (near Coors Field)

First time I went to this place….was RIGHT NOW. OMG I AM SITTING IN STARBUCKS DRINKING COFFEE RIGHT NOW!!!! AAAHHHHHH!!!!

Denver is nice and clean, interesting, easily navigatable downtown.

There are some fountains on the 16th Street Mall, one of which I thought I could walk over. I tried to time it so I walked over it while the water level was low, but alas, I guessed wrong and the fountain shot straight up into my crotch. As I was walking away laughing, a man walked by, looked at me and asked, “You’re not from around here are you?”

I laughingly said, “No, I’m not.”

The year was 2001 and New Years Eve! I had such a blast, even though there were so many people you couldn’t see anything. To feel the rush from how cold it was and the thrill of wandering around. I would definatly do it again…

me and a couple friends went here for new years 2006,and it was a blast! :) minus all the drunk people, but still! i never got to see it in the daytime, but it was kickass at night! so, if you are in colorado for new years, and have no other plans, maybe think about checking this place out!!

16th Street Mall is an obvious part of Denver that everybody has to see! I never do a lot of shopping here, because I don’t like the stores… or their prices, but I go here all of the time. There’s lots of cool restaurants, and of course, the free bus, which is great. It’s also an ideal spot for people watching… there’s always a lot of crazies there.

How can you beat a free bus ride up and down the street, malls within the mall, great places to eat, carriage rides, bands playing by the side walk, and much more? It was AWESOME!!!! tons of fun and just about anything and everything to do just around the corner
