Route 66

I ♥ taking ROAD TRIPS! I want to visit & photograph all the quirky road side attractions & drive in the slow lane for a bit :)

It’s a fun trip, lots of neat stops and scenery westward

When we drive back to Las Vegas from Texas the first weekend of June, we do not want to go the same way we came, of course, so we’ll be traveling along portions of Route 66. I’m just hoping we’ll have enough time for some stops and sidetracks along the way.

Here’s a little secret: Albuquerque at night is party town!!

When you start loosing awareness on I-40 it’s time to get human on Route 66.

It takes me back to a time in my dad’s yellow 55 chevy when we drove from Ohio to San Diego in 36 hours. I wish we had AC back then.

The hamburgers are not unlike other hamburgers I’ve had and the motels aren’t any kitschier than anywhere else in the area. Route 66 is a slowly sinking ship in the middle of a desert.
