The Fremont Troll

We saw the Troll as part of our walking tour of Fremont back in May. I can’t believe I’ve lived in Seattle all these years without seeing him “in person” before. Definitely worth the 3 block walk up the hill. I call this photo “Walter as Finger Food.”

Loved the public art in Fremont, especially the Troll! The last thing you would expect to see under a bridge :)

It’s a troll, it’s under a bridge, and it’s located on Troll Avenue!!!!! This was one of the things I definitely had to see in Seattle.

Along with a visit to Ballard’s Archie McPhee’s

Only the most jaded hipster can resist this cute sculptural oddity in what would otherwise be a weed ridden unused underpass. I ♥ the troll!

It’s one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen, which is both a compliment and an acknowledgement.

I think it’s impossible to look at this, realize that people with the authority to say “no” still allowed it to be built, and *not fall in love with Seattle. It’s somethin’ special, indeed.

Maybe it’s not too thrilling since you know what to expect, but it’s still fun.
