Chuy's - Barton Springs

I ate at the Chuy’s in Houston once or twice and it was pretty good, but every time I’ve eaten at the one in Austin it’s been gross. That salsa that tastes like ketchup? That shit is foul.
Go to La Reyna instead and get the enchiladas rancheras. While you’re at it, get a bottle Mexican soda and some queso.

One of the best places in Austin. Awesome food!

When you go, make sure you ask for the special white dip. It’s some sort of jalapeno ranch. It’s pretty good.

Otherwise, go with the Chuy’s Special. Really everything has some appeal to it.

Quintessential Austin Tex Mex place. Great Elvis decor. I highly recommend the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. It’s an everyday special up north on 183, but you have to hit it on the right day down south. No matter though…pretty much everything on the menu is delicious.
