How this place changed my life

ok so my husband got out of the military (USMC to be exact) and my dad said that he found him a job down here in georgia. i am from north carolina, that is where we were when my husband go out of the marine corps. that is why i do not recommend this place to. it took me from my family… (figurativly speaking) yeah it is more spaced out, but people here cant drive. they dont use turn lanes, every corner has a church pretty much. nothing to do here. no beach… sucks all around. the one thing though, my husband and i were saved and found a church home since being here. that has totally changed our lives. from me smoking, drinking and partying to going to church, not smoking, not cursing…. yeah i think that is worth losing my friends and family over i guess. finding God that is. But i miss home so bad!

A review of this place

Having grown up and remained in southern California my whole life, visiting Georgia was quite refreshing.

I couldn’t believe how green everything was! So many trees, lakes, rivers… I loved being surrounded by all that luscious green :o)

Although I admit that Warner Robins is not exactly an “exciting” place to visit, it was awesome for me to be able to go and stay for a week with my sister and her family! There was no other place I would have rather been!

I could totally see myself in a town like Warner Robins. I love the simplicity of it all and the fact that it is a military town. Not to mention that I could be buying a really nice house out there for the amount I’m paying in rent out here for a one bedroom apartment!

It’s something to think about…

What I want to do at this place

Well it looks like this one may just happen, and soon!

I have vacation coming up from one of my jobs in September and actually talked my boss at my other job into letting me take some time off from there too.

I wont know for sure if I can coordinate the two until after tonight when I go to work, but I’m almost certain that I will be able to.

I am so excited to go visit my sister and to see Georgia for the first time.

The furtherst I’ve been from California so far is Texas, so I am excited to be traveling to somewhere even further away from home.

The best thing about it though, of course, is that I’ll get to visit with my sister, her husband and my niece :o)

I’m going to be getting a great deal on airfare too, considering my brother-in-law works for an airline. I will only have to pay the tax.

So, I’ll write more when my plans are for sure… but it’s looking good! Yay!! :o)

Why I want to go to this place

I want to go to Warner Robins as many times and as often as I can!!

My sister moved out there (from California) a couple of years ago…

I didn’t know it was possible to miss someone this much. ...not to mention my niece who will be turning 6 in June… she is the sweetest thing on earth and it kills me that she’s so far away!

They have come back to California to visit a few times already, but it’s just not enough!!

I want my niece to be able to show me her bedroom and her pet goldfishies and all of her favorite things, you know?

My brother-in-law is an airplane mechanic out there in Georgia, and he can get cheap round-trip tickets to and from anywhere… that’s not the problem. The problem is being able to afford to take time off from both of my jobs!
There’s no way I’m going out there for just a weekend! I want to stay for a whole week and spend some quality time with them!

Soon, I hope! My sister just found out that she’s pregnant again, AND they just closed a deal on a house… So I’d really like to be able to go out there and help them move and to get everything ready for the baby like we did before my niece was born. Those are some of my favorite memories ever, and I’ll be so sad if I dont get out there to do some of those things this time!

So, I guess what I need to do is find out when they’re actually moving to the new house… and go from there.

There’s no time like the present,so I guess I’d better go do that!

A review of this place: A place to live; not a place to visit.

I am stationed here, military. I am single with 0 children. I have different needs than others, I’m sure. While I don’t need to party every weekend, I do have other interests that I find myself traveling for many miles to satisfy.

This area has a low crime rate, low cost of living, excellent country living, moderate traffic, and tolerable weather. This is a decent place to raise a family, but there should be encouragement to leave this area for personal growth.

A review of this place

ok, so Warner Robins isnt the best place in the world, but it’s my home. Sure, there is nothing to do except go to a crappy mall and to see movies and go bowling, but thats more than most places. Warner Robins has some of the best people in the world. I love my friends, my family, this place. I’ll tell the truth, i’m moving and leaving this place one day. But this is still maybe a boring city, but its a good city. This is my home. Even if i dont live here when im older, it will always be my home.

A review of this place: home.

It’s worth it to visit because it’s where my family is… but I moved as soon as I turned 18. Let’s put it that way.

A review of this place: City of Warner-Robins....City? Where?

Warner-Robins is NOT a fun place to go AT ALL. The most fun I’ve had was sitting and drinking martinis with a couple of people I knew at the O’Charley’s in the mall parking lot. If you like “towns” that think they are a big city, go for it…that’s exactly what it is. Not my cup of tea.

Why I want to go to this place

I want to visit Warner Robins, Georgia because it is the birthplace and final earthly resting place of my best friend; the only person who ever loved me unconditionally.
