Saint-Martin, Central America And The Caribbean
my advice... by PDXmountainclimber
My advice… stay on the French side of the island. The Dutch side is too built up. The beaches on the French side are great… definitely worth seeing.

over 3 years agoAMAZING! Definitely worth visiting!
over 5 years agoWent here as a stop on a cruise, but would LOVE to go back and spend an entire vacation there!
over 5 years agoOn the cul-de-sac there’s a naturist hotel with a naturist beach. I went to that beach with my couple and swimmed to one of the (very!) small platforms where you can lie and get some tan.
All of a sudden, anothe couple approaches swimming and gets on the same platform (that barely had the space for four of us, and we were all full naked). I realized the motive was that the guy wasn’t feeling quite well after some swimming effort.
So we started talking. It turned out that the girl was a computer programmer, just like me, working in C++ under Windows just like me. So we talked about some features of MFC and of the newer (then) ActiveX Template Library, some language features too, etcetera, full naked, on a small platform on the caribbean sea.
Two words NUDE Beach
over 6 years agoSt. Martin: French culture, great sailing, topless beaches, great climate. What more could you want? I’ll be sailing there again soon!

over 7 years agoWent here as part of a cruise, only spent the day, but it was beautiful.
over 7 years agoI went here from St. Thomas. We took a small plane called an island hopper! That was scary. We stayed here for a week at a resort called the Pelican. It is a beautiful place!
