The Grit

The yeast gravy with biscuits is OFF THE F*%KING CHAIN!

Yeah. It’s been years since I’ve eaten there, but when I lived in Athens, I ate there all the time. A co-worker of mine and I are always singing the praises of The Grit. I’m jealous because he actually has a t-shirt from there. It is my most favorite vegetarian restaurant of all time. When and if I go back to Athens, you better believe this is the first place I will want to eat.

Every year for my birthday I drag my dad to the Grit. My dad LOVES meat. He’s one of those typical hamburger-grilling football-loving fathers.
But he likes the Grit! It’s that delicious!

I have yet to eat something at The Grit I didn’t love…even stuff I normaly hate…Tofu. The cakes are to die for. The oreo cake is pure awesome. About $6 a person, give or take a few. Great service, great food, and unisexed bathrooms, what more could you ask for?

It’s an awesome vegetarian restaurant!

Go for the Tofu Reuben Sandwich. It is amazing!

i’m not even a vegetarian and i love that place.

Words can’t really begin to describe my love for the Grit. It’s all-vegetarian and all-delicious. If you’re going to Athens, it should not be missed.
