Went there when my niece and nephew were little. My nephew was VERY in to bats, but there had been a fire in the bat house so we couldn’t see them. He was very upset and concerned that the bats had been scared of the fire. When we went through the area with elephants, rhinos, etc., every few yards he would say “Mommy, what dat ‘mell?” and my sister would say “Elephant poop,” “Rhino poop,” “Hippo poop,” etc… :-)
Went back last June with my ex-boyfriend and saw the white tigers. They were VERY playful that day. I spent an hour standing there watching them. They had a routine – they would run to the glass and attack each other as soon as they got a good crown built up, then move off and soak in the creek for a while and let the people wander away. It was like they were performing! They were SO beautiful. I definitely want to go back.
