Our Navy squadron based a DC-9 transport here for a summer in 1976. We flew all over Asia and was a seven-week trip of a lifetime for me! I have wanted to go back ever since. The memories were so good, but I want to share them with my wife. One day…

I was actually raised here. My dad was in the Navy so I’m a military brat. I haven’t been back since 1992 I really want to go back and visit!

i had always visited subic as a child with my family, 10 years on, after so much tragedies and successes, i still look back and wonder, what if we all stayed in tarlac city as a family instead of migrating?? we’d probably be visiting subic and have little childish memories of sunny afternoons and shopping for american products..still makes me laugh when i first tried licorice..expired..

Maaan, I thought Subic Bay was an amazing place. It reminded me so much of the US. It felt like home.

...I was born in Subic bay at the base. I was only there for about a month before my parents brought me back to the United states, I would love to go visit there again sometime. I have lots of pictures they took of people hearding pigs and cattle.

I spent time here while on a WESPAC cruise while on the USS Haddo SSN 604 in 1977. Subic was pretty rowdy… not exactly a place for families.
