Westminster

I lived here after my divorce in an apartment. I was working out of an office in Orange County at the time.

Way bigger than any asian district I ever visited. Great food and fruits i have never seen before.

Given how it resulted from pain and suffering thanks to the Vietnam War, the amount of good folks and things now in Westminster as a result is truly lovely. The food is only one reason to visit, but it’s certainly a very good reason!

The pattern with most O.C. cities: there’s one part of the city that’s great, and the rest immediately outside is incredibly boring.

Same with Westminster. In this case, Westminster boasts the largest Vietnamese American population in the country. The amount of Vietnamese shops, restaurants, and culture in the Bolsa Ave area of Westminster (which is a really deceiving name for this city, given what has developed here) is great. A choice location to spend a weekend day, especially when coupled with a beach trip to H.B., which is one city over.

This is the last place I want to live! It’s dirty, boring, and just plain blah. I can’t wait to get out of here!!!

I hate Westminster. It’s segregated and because I’m originally from LBC, I know from experience that this place has a lot of stuck-up people.

If you’re into vietnamese culture, then you have to visit Little Saigon on Bolsa Ave. If you’re into shopping, then you have to go to the Westminster Mall. If you’re into the beach, go south.
