I live approximately 30-so miles away from The Grove (or Los Angeles, if you want to be general). With slim to none traffic, getting here can be from half-an-hour to fifty minutes. With horrible traffic (mind you, the I-5N gets traffic anytime except 4am), it can take anywhere from fifty minutes to two hours.
So if you’re planning on visiting here, LEAVE EARLY! If you’re a bit skeptical about the travel time and it turns out that you get there a bit early, it’s cool – just park in a nice spot in the parking structure, get out into the center of The Grove, and browse around.
May I recommend the three-story Barnes & Nobles?

went with my boyfriend at christmastime. It was cute…since I’ve never been there before. I had a funnel cake with so much whipped cream it made me sick…even just to think about it now kind of makes me sick. And it was supposed to fake snow…but it didn’t. :( waah.

The Grove is a great place to hang w/ friends—especially great for dates! Yes it can be $$$ but you have options for different budgets!

People watching orgy. And a great movie theater, though it’s really overpriced. Try to eat at Maggianno’s, the italian restaurant hidden in the back somewhere, great food and big portions.

experience al of la la ville right here. bad parking, big city shopping, lots food. you must go to the world famous farmers market attached to the grove.

pretty area. really expensive. it was fun to look through stores even though I couldn’t afford most of the places. Head over to the Farmer’s Market to eat & shop…it’s right next door. :) And if you want to see Celebs, that’s the place to go. I saw Patrick Fabian, Michelle Williams, and Busy Phillips while there this weekend.
