Los Angeles International Airport aka: LAX

I think most people have gone through here if they travelled especially to LA.

It’s big, busy and takes sooo long to get to the other terminals. It’s not very well laid out too.

Use the Burbank or Ontario airport instead. LAX is hellish.

too many people, too little space, not worth the wait

I have no experience with airports, but my family has been using LAX (as opposed to the John Wayne, Long Beach, or Huntington Beach) for our travels. It’s nice, but if you’re going to sight-see, you don’t have to come here.

why am i always called on for rides to/from the airport???? sigh…

I recommend flying into Ontario Airport instead! It’s much nicer, less hectic. I always felt rushed when going there. The drivers are crazy! You have to be aggressive to get into the lanes you need to get into.

I don’t remember the airport but I remember the shuttle bus driver in response to someone saying ‘sorry i don’t speak much english’ proclaiming ‘we don’t either, we speak american and australian’.

I think at the time I thought it was funny, but then i was 9 years old. I thought most things were funny then.

And it’s nice enough to visit because you’ll know you’ll get out of there to other spots and is reliable enough when you get back. But it’s not much in terms of aesthetics, I have to say. Still, it’s a standard and I rely on it.

If you go here, check out the USO if you can… it’s for military members and their families. It’s such a great place… they give you free food and you can sit and check your email for free, or watch a movie.

And the international terminals are pretty interesting to walk around, too. LAX is an interesting place.
