best sandwiches ever. period.

God, what a sandwich. I love this restaurant. Come hungry because the sandwiches are huge and you probably won’t need to eat until the next day.

and I have to say I was not that impressed.

Back when I was living in Pittsburgh, there were other good sandwich shops closer to home, and I had never heard of Primanti’s. After I moved away, they became famous, I think because they put cole slaw and french fries on the sandwiches. I prefer my sides on the side.

The surrounding neighborhood, called “The Strip District,” is an old wholesale food distribution market, and during my college days I remember trips to Wholley’s Seafood to buy gigantic lobster tails at great prices.

I was driving my car to Washington DC

Visiting familiy in PA..took us to Primantis. Unique & colorful. Great sandwiches..yummy bread..

You must stop by here if in Pittsburgh for a local tradition at Primanti Bros.

if i was on death row id order a sweet sausage w/ extra slaw specifically from this resturuant in the dirty strip as my last meal.

After a show or a game and it’s very late at night and you’re starving…it’s okay.
