Manitou Springs

For some of us, Manitou will just always have a special place in our hearts.

Manitou Springs is a fun little town, and you can find some great restaurants and shops nestled in among the tourist traps. The slightly shabby arcade is a must-see; plan to spend some time there because this type of old-fashioned fun is hard to find these days.

Nice place, lived there for a summer but really touristy. Wonder off the beated path to really take in the city and avoid those damn tourist trap shops!

last year. I spent a good time in this small and beautiful town. If you like to be in contact with nature, no doubt at all that this is one of those places. Worth Visiting!

I somewhat lived here (at least on the weekends) with my girlfriend for about a year. She had a small place behind a friends house and it was great to chill out there every weekend and get out of Ft Carson.

...we were driving nowhere…just taking random roads with no particular place to go. We like to do that. We came upon Manitou Springs. They were having a festival. There was a nice band playing…called…um, The Peace Sign!

Anyways, it’s a great place to check out. Do it someday. I think I’ll go look up “The Peace Sign” band now =).

Beautiful spot for a wedding! Gorgeous grounds, mansion, wonderful food!

Of all the years I’ve been here, today was the first time I’ve actually stopped by & walked around Manitou Springs. Headed to the Buffalo BBQ in Soda Springs Park just to see what was going on; live entertainment, food, & people just enjoying themselves is what I found in this area. It’s a nice detour from Colorado Springs & there are plenty of quirky, quaint shops in the historical area of town. Parking seems limited, but you’ll find some public parking lots where you can pay to leave your vehicle behind. OR, if you don’t mind walking, you can park a little bit on the outskirts of the historical district & walk a bit. Manitou Springs isn’t a large area, but it’s definitely worth a visit. The arcade & Navajo shop is worth a look, as well. Also, stop by & try some pizza or bbq from one of the local restaurants.

You will love this place, it is an awesome towm.

with lots to see and do, so plan on spending lots of time!!!
