Antelope Canyon

Went there on 10 July 2008. They’ve really pushed the prices up to get into the canyon. Lower Antelope is now $26 per person (up from $5 two years ago) and Upper Antelope is over $30 per person. Be prepared to hand over a ton of money to get in. At that price it’s not worth it.

as trite as it is I want to take beautiful photos here… it is one of those places that makes me happy to be alive. I just like to look at the colors and admire the beauty of nature.

i can’t go overseas this year but i WILL make it to Antelope Canyon, should rain not thwart me.

It is worth visiting only if you are into photography. It only looks good in photos.

If you get there dead on midday then there is the most amazing ray of light that passes right thru. Even if you dont its a great place to get some photos

Antelope Canyon is an incredibly narrow corkscrew canyon in Northeastern Arizona (just south of Lake Powell). While it’s fun, interesting, and beautiful any time, the narrow opening at the top combined with the colors of the sandstone make for simply incredible color during the late morning.

Admission is limited to prevent tourist destruction of the canyon and to ensure the safety of the visitors.
