Hapuna Beach

Go early so you aren’t walking in the heat of the day and don’t leave your camera at home. Make sure to get one of the fab shave ice at the concession stand.

this place is alright. its mostly crowded with tourists and its in the middle of nowhere cept an oversized obnoxious hotel that claimed a part of hapuna as “its own” however sometimes you can sneak onto their beach and get into their hot tub and not get kicked out. and even if you do, they just make you leave…. they can’t take away the time you has in the hot tub. its a pretty place and a lot of times you get to see whales in the distance. also, if you go snorkeling you’ll see some turtles and pretty fish.. there’s a nice little cove off to the right. i prefer going to smaller beaches and less touristy ones. tourists are a disease.

i was at Hapuna beach 75% of my stay in hawaii… great beach there isn’t much more i can say except you have to go here if you visit the big island!

Loved loved loved the Hapuna Beach Prince resort. I’d go back every month for the rest of my life if I could.

Either get there early or go around lunchtime (~1 p.m.) to snag a parking spot!

Often rated the best beach in the US. Accessible from a state park and from nearby hotels and condos. Beautiful beach with a view of Maui on a clear day!
