Dodge City

I don’t want to come here. I used to live north of OKC. I asked a friend about coming up to Dodge City. He laughed and said it was a waste of time. He said that it has a high crime rate due to the illegal aliens that work at the meat packing plants. I guess he’s right, who’d want to spend time in a place where it smells like cow crap and you’re constantly on the look out for someone trying to shank you!!!!!!!

When I was workin up in ColdWater KS, One night me a few of the guys sitting around the motel decided to take a little road trip to See Dodge City!! We diddnt realy see alot to do in that town. The cops were insanely bad there. And for being in Kansas I was surprised on how mutch spanish I had to spit out!! It was night time tho, I’m sure if I would have visited in the day I might have something worth my wild!!

Well! Be sure to drive by the feed lots and outlying areas. Your reaction may be positive but Dodge City has me abstaining from beef and wishing all the cow methane would stay in Dodge.

I never ate beef again

This is a great place to visit once, if you’re passing through Kansas. I don’t know that I’d suggest hanging around too long or ever going back again.

i had to stop here on a road trip, it was the only place with motels and it was getting late. when we first drove into the town it smelled like oil and cheese, we asked the hotel clerk what the smell was and he said it was slaughtering night and they were burning off the blood by-products…

Stinking hell hole. If you like the smell of burning blood, you’ll love it in Dodge City.

...will always amaze an Easterner like myself. Growing up in NY, physical, tangible SPACE was an abstraction at best. The Great Plains – especially west of the 98th meridian – are where the West truly begins…

Dodge City has no enchantment for those of us who grew up around there. I think it needs more things for youth to do.

If you are into country western stuff Dodge City days gets fun. There is a concert and a week full of rodeo and random events but even that has gone down hills since I’ve grown up a bit. I would recommend hitting up Boot Hill and seeing the variety show because I have friends who sing and act in that and it’s mildly entertaining and if you’ve never seen a feed lot you’ll definitely get to take all that in ;) ;)
