Paris Las Vegas

We had Thanksgiving lunch in the restaurant in the Eiffel Tower. Beautiful view, the Bellagio fountains are awesome from there! The service was great, the food was delicious but pricey. The whole hotel is nice, the shops are cute and at night the outside is so pretty!

It was just 4 months after I’d gotten back from a two-week stay in Paris, France…Wow. Not sure what stunned me most…the complete surreality of strolling down “Parisian” streets in complete air-conditioned comfort, the fact that there were far more heavy-set folks there than I ever saw in France, or the fact that the legs of the “Tour Eiffel” disappeared into the fake sky (complete with white-fluffy clouds) that was the ceiling of the casino.

Having been to the real Paris, I just couldn’t really get into this one. I think it’s a pretty good substitute if you don’t think you’ll ever make it to the real Paris. Overall it was cute.

I’ve been here a few times. The restaurant in the Eiffel Tower is romantic, but pricey (as are most a la carte dinners on the strip).
By far, my favorite thing here is the buffet for breakfast only. Made to order crepes? Tres bien!
I’m hoping to stay here this fall during our corporate convention. It’s being held at the MGM, so it’s a short walk and I’ve always wanted to stay here.
Sure, it’s nothing like the REAL Paris, but what in Vegas is really like the real ANYTHING? It’s Vegas people, don’t take it too seriously and it can be really fun!

What can I say about Vegas except that there’s something to do on every corner! You can’t possibly be bored.
The Paris is a BEAUTIFUL hotel, but if you’re looking for really great food, go to the Cravings buffet at the Mirage. It’s cuisine, not typical buffet crap. FANTASTIC!

If you like the hot air balloon glasses they sell in the stores for $12? Buy them at Le Petit Bar – it’s the same price but they give you a drink with it.

This was my favorite place I visited on the strip. But, I’m completely biased =D

Oh, and at the restaurant, Le Provencal – if you’re around long enough the waiter/ess sing opera!

Mais bien sur, I’m sure it’s not at all like the real Paris.

Got back from Vegas yesteday. I wasn’t the one in our party who picked our hotel. It was…odd. Totally ridiculous, but in an amusing way. They pump in recordings of people speaking French in order to make the place feel more Parisian, I guess. We had a fabulous time at the spa. We tried several restaurants within the casino and they were iffy. Don’t expect much if you are a vegetarian like I am.

A fun place to gamble, but it gets a little crowded. Here are my pictures and review of Paris casino.

Keep in mind I’ve been to the real Paris, you see. Thus going to this one is just mind-bogglingly goofy. But that’s a reason to go.

The casino was pretty decent, the layout is quaint. Also took the trip up the Eiffel Tower :)
