Stratosphere Casino Hotel and Tower

I proposed to Yvonne in the Tower in the summer of 1998.

We didn’t go to Vegas to gamble, but to see the sights. I picked the Stratosphere Hotel because we found some cheap rates, but once I got there I was very happy. Just a little bit north of all the other casinos on the strip made it a little bit quieter outside and still just a short drive or bus ride to everything we wanted to see.

With the hotel room, we got free admission to the Observation Deck at the top of the Stratosphere. The view from up there was just amazing. A definite must see in Vegas.

I staed there last December and it was just nasty. The room was okay, but when I woke up the next morning I noticed the bed wasn’t clean. When I pulled the sheets back there were black specks or something hard in the bed and a cigarette butt. So much for nonsmoking rooms and cleanliness.

It’s a great view from the tower, but the ride that we got on (X Scream – I think? the roller coaster) was a little too rattly for my liking – it gave me a headache! I was too scared to get on the Insanity, but I think next time I’ll go for it.

This hotel looks pretty decent, but it’s at the very north end of the strip – not great if you don’t rent a car or have other means of transportation.

This is where Andrea and I stayed during our trip to VEGAS! It sure was a haul from all the strip action, but we made it work! Definitely the most beautiful views of the Vegas Strip. The Top of the World restaurant is AMAZING!

Didn’t stay at the hotel but had a lovely dinner at the Top Of the World, the revolving restaurant.

I recently had to stay in the hotel, and was quite pleased. It’s a nice facility with decent rooms and decent prices. However, it’s a nice hike to get to the rest of the strip.

and 80% of the reason it was so scary is because i felt the damn thing was going to fall apart =S Can’t beat the view though, you’re almost 1,000 above ground level, pretty amazing
