Houston Museum Of Natural Science aka: HMNS

The last time I went here was for the Mixers and Elixers party they had – every Friday night over the summer, HMNS threw a party (live band, free food, cash bar). Being new in town, I absolutely loved going and plan to go next summer. In plus, how many times can you say you’ve danced underneath dinosaurs?

Saw Bodyworlds, much smaller exhibit than I imagined…but remarkable none the less!

I’ve been here twice in my life and I LOOOVE it. I got my Periodic Table of Elements shirt there, but it no longer fits so I need a new one! This place gets better everytime I go :)

It’s awesome go see it

You would not believe what happened to me! My class was supposed to meet here and the field trip was cancelled because of the rain. Apparently everyone got a call except me. So, I showed up and I just kinda thought they were running late. I hung around for about 20 minutes and I still saw no sign of them. Also, I might remind you that I did not have any of the student’s or the teacher’s numbers because we just started school a couple of weeks ago and I did not see the need to exchange numbers with anyone (I certainly learned my lesson on that one!). So, I thought maybe they got there earlier than me and decided to go in without me. I decided to purchase my ticket and go in. I had to pay regular price, when I only should have had to pay the discounted group rate but I figured it was worth it. Anyway, I made my way in and 2 hours later I made my way out. Right after I walked out of the Body World’s exhibit, my cell rang. It was my teacher asking me where I was. I politely told her that I was at the museum, like I thought the whole class was supposed to be and she proceeded to tell me that the field trip had been CANCELLED! I started to panic, thinking I would have an absence and she told me to keep my ticket stub and I would not be counted absent. So, that part was frustrating, but the exhibit was incredible! After that , I figured I could do what I wanted to do, so I went to the IMAX showing of inside the human body. That was awesome too! All in all, I had a great time!

If everything goes right, my class and I will be going to the Body Worlds exhibit and the IMAX of the tour through the human body. I am so excited and I think it will be very informative for us, as we are training to be Medical Assistants.

Their gem collection is out of this world.

We spent all day there. It’s great! Tons to see.
